Fishing Report, July 2024. The Light rains rains continue to come, the lake remains "near pool", meaning the lake is very close to what is considered its "normal" or planned level. In fact the lake has been up to 2 feet above pool 3 times in just the last 3 monthsmonth, has not gotten down to pool (surface at 345 feet above Mean Sea Level, the top of the spillway) since late January. Typically, the annual low water period usually ends around October, and we enter the bass and crappie spawn with a full lake in January, so, yes, the spawning season was interferred with, and crappie, bass, and white bass are being caught now that have deteriorating, unspent eggs
