Fishing report, 21 Oct. Lake level, continues to drop very slowly due to lack of rain and moderate temperatures, is now 1.75 feet low. Water temps remain in the low 70's, today i saw it range from 70 to 74 during the day.
Fishing remains FAIR overall, with blue cats and bass keeping up the GOOD.
Finally have some rain in the forecast for late next week, not much, but now the lake is really beginning to need any at all. One marina, Lake Palestine Resort, has closed part of their launch, its a one laner until the lake recovers about 6 inches, haven't heard of any other launches with restrictions.Trolling seems to be the best way to go after the hybrids right now, but there is some sporadic afternoon surface feeding activity of mixed whites and hybrids in the Chimney Cove area.
