fishing report, 1st week July.
We're entering the hot season, a time when people just don't want to go out in the hot, or at least to minimize their time in it.During July and August each year, unless the weather is extraordinary, I usually get only 2 or 3 trips out on the local lakes, .There are fish out there, they can be caught, but usually during a more carefully planned trip, considering moon position, cloud cover, rain probability, wind, and, of course, sun and temp.
I will be doing my usual "exotic" trips, one to Alaska and 2 to Washington state, primary objective salt water salmon, silvers and kings, and invite any one to join me or go to the same places.
