Updated: Mon Nov 10, 2025
Fishing report- 3 Nov 25. Lake level 1 ft low, water temp 67 degrees.
Catfish have been very good, fishing with live minnows for blues and shrimp for channels. Blues 1-3 lbs, channels 11-15 inches. Fishing in daytime, usually high moon, 22 ft, on upwind slope of humps/roadbeds.
A word about shrimp for bait- I've begun using the cheapest/on-sale frozen salad shrimp. They are now cheaper than the frozen "bait shrimp", are already headless, peeled, and often deveined, making them less cost per ounce, and easier to use and re-freeze/re-use. you also have a choice in the size you select. You can make these baits tougher and smellier by adding salt and smells to them as they defrost.
A reminder- I am looking for fishermen that want to go with me or just want more info about:Alaska saltwater fishing July 5-12 Full package lodge, self-guidedWashington salmon fishing 3rd week July Party/head/group boat ocean fishingWashington salmon fishing 3rd week August Party/head/group boat ocean fishingWashington salmon fishing 1st week Sept Party/head/group boat ocean fishing, could change to deep water bottom fishing
